Retreat Events

Even when the summer ends, Camp Omega is still full of activity with our annually sponsored Camp Omega Retreat Programs. Retreats offer a great way to grow together with your friends, family, youth groups, and congregations. Information about our upcoming retreats are listed below. To register for any of these events, download the retreat flyer. Confirmation Retreat

Join other confirmation groups for a fun-filled weekend of Christian growth, songs, group building and games. Camp Omega will lead two Bible Studies, evening and closing service, and morning devotions. Outside activities include fun games and service projects. Come for fellowship, fun, and time to praise God. Download the Registration Flyer.

DCE Conference

Attention those serving as DCE's or in DCE type positions, this event is for you to be encouraged, challenged, and reconnected to the DCE community. Facilitated by Sue Krautkramer of U-niquely Designed, it will prove to be eventful. Download the Registration information.

Annual Work Weekend

Join others in Christ's fellowship while preparing Camp Omega for the arrival of over 1600 children and adults for our summer camp programming. Entire families are welcome to join in the service, fun, and recreation of a fulfilling service weekend. Camp Omega staff will lead the youth and children in age-appropriate service projects and recreational activities. The weekend kicks off Friday evening and lasts through lunch on Sunday, but join us for any part of the weekend as your schedule allows.Registration information coming next spring.

Camp Omega Day

Affordable family fun? How about free family fun? Come for the day or just for a few hours and enjoy a free day of family fun in God's creation at Camp Omega. Activities include a picnic-style lunch, swimming, hayrides, pontoon rides, archery, canoeing, and a variety of other staff-led camp activities for the whole family. Put in your name for raffle drawings throughout the day for a FREE stay at the recipient's choice of summer camp sessions or family retreat opportunities and for Camp Omega apparel,  Download the Camp Omega Day flyer. Camp Omega Sunday

The first Sunday of June every year, congregations in the MN South District are encouraged to reconginzed this day as the day Camp Omega begins serving 2000 people through it's summer ministry progarm; pray for the guests, campers, and staff of camp that lives will be change because of the Holy Spirits work though the Gospel message as shared with campers through the summer ministry program; and take a door offering or designate all or part of that Sunday's offering to the Camp's "For the Children Fund" which provides scholarship money to families in need so they may attend camp.

Annual Golf Tournament

Get a foursome together and join our annual August golf tournament. The proceeds from the  tournament support the camp’s campership endowment fund. These funds support the camp’s commitment to providing camp experiences for those with financial need. To register, email the camp office or call 507.685.4266 and ask for Curt.

MN State Fair Camp Omega Restaurant

That's right... Camp Omega has a restaurant at the "Great Minnesota Get-Together". How about a breakfast egg roll, teriyaki ostrich on-a-stick, seafood wontons, or pot sitcker. Plan to stop by and have a meal with us at the China Town MN Restaurant between the Grandstand and the Giant Slide. All proceeds go to help offset camper fees so as many as possible may hear of Christ's deep love for them. Visit www.mnstatefair.org for more information about the MN State Fair. Summer Camp Program

The most valuable gift you can give a child is the opportunity to develop independence, self-worth, leadership, responsibility, and most of all, life-long faith in Jesus. At Camp Omega, children develop a stronger sense of self, others, and God; they learn how to navigate the world successfully; they learn resiliency; and, they learn the value of healthy, Christ-centered relationships. Confirmation Summer Camp

Kick off confirmation in a camp setting. Camp Omega staff  leads confirmation students in typical camp activities, confirmation instructors discuss topics. Counselors will provide supervision during all activities times as well as overnight in cabins. Instructors stay in Retreat Center.

Two hours per day is set aside for instructors to meet with their students and discuss confirmation topics. Confirmation instruction/study times for each congregation provided by their own confirmation instructor. Download the Registration Flyer.

Dates: August 15-17 & August 17-20, 2010 (Pick a two night or three night event)

Cost: $95 per participant for the two night event and $160 for
the three night event. One instructor per class comes free.

 

Annual Cross Country Meet

Cross Country FolkLutheran Schools in Minnesota South District are invited to attend Camp Omega's annual Cross-Country meet. Overlooking Horseshoe Lake, this course winds through Camp Omega, offering spectacular views of the beautiful fall colors. Family and friends are welcome to attend as spectators! There are events for students in grades 4th-8th. Race distances are 1500 meters for grades 4th-6th and 3000 meters for grades 7th-8th. Junior High Gathering

This Junior High Gathering for grades 6-8 offers spiritual growth, community building, and fun activities geared toward providing a Christ-centered retreat where participants can grow together in their personal relationship with Jesus. Annual Appreciation Dinner

 Join us for a NO COST turkey supper the Faribault American Legion. Anyone planning to take part MUST contact Curt at the camp office to reserve your plate.

Winter Daze! - Junior High Youth Groups

Bring your youth group out for a fun-filled day. Activities include snow tubing with tow rope, broomball, Christian growth, outdoor games, singing and devotions.

Senior High Retreat

This two-day event will allow high school students to grow in the Christian faith while having a blast with other youth from around Minnesota. Activities include snow tubing with tow rope, broomball, Christian growth, games, singing and devotions.

Annual Summer Staff Reunion

Has it been a while since your last visit to Camp Omega? Do you long to see friends from years past? Then bring your old camp photos, stories, and winter clothes to play in the snow, and reunite with other past summer staff members. If you know someone who is a former summer camp staff member at Camp Omega, please inform them of this memorable event!
