June 7, 2026 is Camp Omega Sunday, a day set aside for congregations to publicly recognize and support the partnership they have with the ministry that takes place through Camp Omega.
As a mission of the Minnesota South District of the LC-MS, in 2002, the District Board of Directors designated an early Sunday in June (typically, the second Sunday of June) as Camp Omega Sunday. This date corresponds with the start of the summer camp season. While congregations are not restricted to recognizing this particular Sunday, it is an opportunity for all congregations to celebrate local Lutheran Outdoor Ministry. On this day, the first youth arrive to kick off the summer camp adventures of Fun, Friends and Faith.
Congregations are urged to put June 7th on their calendars, and make plans for their observation.
